RELATING TO GENDER EQUITY.

Requires publicly held domestic and foreign corporations to include certain numbers of females among their boards of directors. Authorizes administrative fines for noncompliance. Takes effect on January 1, 2050. (HD1)

RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNTS.

Reactivates the individual development account contribution income tax credit for the five-year period from 2021 through 2025. Amends provisions regarding state-funded individual development accounts. Appropriates funds to the department of human services.

RELATING TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE.

Establishes an outreach program in the department of health to inform physicians and appropriate non-physician practitioners participating in medicare that comprehensive care planning services for those with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias is a covered benefit under medicare.

RELATING TO SUSTAINABILITY.

Establishes a statewide sustainability division within the office of planning to ensure long-term planning, coordination, and implementation of Hawaii's sustainability goals and policies. Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO PROTECTIVE ORDERS.

Permits a law enforcement officer to search a person convicted of violating certain temporary restraining orders or protective orders, including the person's motor vehicle and the person's residence, for firearms without obtaining a search warrant if the law enforcement officer has reason to believe acts of abuse, malicious property damage, or harassment by the person are imminent. Specifies that a seized firearm shall not be used for a subsequent conviction if the original search lacked probable cause but authorizes law enforcement to maintain the firearm until the registered owner can prove the firearm will be safely stored.

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Establishes an affordable homeownership revolving fund within HHFDC to provide loans to nonprofit community development financial institutions and nonprofit housing development organizations for the development of affordable homeownership housing projects. Makes an appropriation into and out of the affordable homeownership revolving fund. Effective 7/1/2025. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE NA WAI EHA WATERSHED.

Appropriates money out of the land conservation fund for the acquisition of 11,020 acres of the Na Wai Eha watershed in Wailuku, Maui. Takes effect on 7/1/2050. (HD1)

RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Increases fees imposed upon importers, wholesalers, storage sites, and retailers for licenses on fireworks. Authorizes counties to use fees for costs related to inspecting shipped containers of aerial devices when they are opened.

RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE.

Requires the thirty-day lapse or termination notices for long-term care policies to be sent by certified mail or commercial delivery service, or other method of delivery requiring proof of delivery. Requires an insurer to provide to an insured notification at each renewal premium of the right to indicate or update a written designation. Effective 12/31/2059. (HD1)
