Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to collaborate with various agencies to research and develop a mechanism for increased water circulation in Pokai Bay.
Establishes a 5-year career technical education pilot program within the Department of Education to encourage students to study career technical education.
Requires the Legislative Reference Bureau to conduct a study on establishing a plan to implement the Hawaii Retirement Savings Program and to submit a report prior to the 2020 Regular Session to the Legislature on its findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation. Provides that certain pregnant women receiving substance abuse treatment are eligible for substance abuse treatment and mental health services for an additional ten months following childbirth.
Clarifies that clinical victim support services for victims of sexual violence and abuse are a mental health outpatient services benefit required to be covered under health insurance policies. Requires the State Auditor to conduct an impact assessment and to report any findings prior to the Regular Session of 2020. (HB484 HD2)
