Requires a court to order the charter of a corporation forfeited and the certificate authorizing a foreign corporation to do business in the State revoked upon a felony or misdemeanor conviction of the corporation or its high managerial agent that is related to its business affairs. Repeals the requirement for findings for a court to order forfeiture of a charter or revocation of a certificate. Requires similar penalties for various partnership entities and limited liability companies and their foreign counterparts convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. Permits the winding up of the business.
Appropriates funds to establish 1 permanent FTE extension agent at the University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.
Prohibits the importation of unroasted coffee into the State, makes it a class C felony, and imposes a fine for violation of the prohibition. Authorizes DOA to adopt rules to allow for the importation of partially roasted coffee into the State.
Makes an appropriation to the Emergency and Budget Reserve Fund.
Requires electric utility companies to have a greenhouse gas neutral electricity portfolio by 12/31/2029. Requires the public utilities commission to evaluate the progress of achieving greenhouse gas neutrality and impose penalties for failure to meet the portfolio standard.
Requires the legislature to provide overtime compensation to temporary staff for hours worked in excess of forty hours in a workweek. Outlines the available remedies for a violation.
Establishes a sidewalk installation grant program to be administered by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Office of Community Services. Appropriates funds.
Improves the State's preparedness and response to disasters. Requires statewide inventories of hospitals, dialysis centers, and medical facilities; satellite phones; and generators to provide backup power. Appropriates funds for positions related to emergency response planning and allocation of resources and for non-perishable food in natural disasters.
Prohibits medically unnecessary treatment or intervention on the sex characteristics of persons born with variations in their physical sex characteristics who are under the age of 18. Requires the Hawaii Medical Board to adopt rules to determine which treatments and interventions are medically necessary.
