Appropriates funds for the department of agriculture to hire a consultant to work with hemp farmers to identify the infrastructure needs of hemp farmers and the hemp industry in Hawaiʻi. Requires the court to automatically seal or remove from the Judiciary's publicly accessible database any information relevant to the arrest or case of a person for whom an expungement order has been entered. Establishes the Erin's law task force to review policies, programs, and curricula for educating public school students about sexual abuse and sex trafficking prevention, report recommendations for the establishment of a program to educate public school children on sexual abuse prevention through age-appropriate curricula, provide relevant training to teachers and school staff, and inform parents and guardians about important child sexual abuse topics. Requires the Department of Education to establish and implement a systemwide sexual abuse prevention education program at the conclusion of the task force.
Establishes the shade and fruit tree program in the department of education to support educational activities and encourage propagation of native shade trees or fruit trees for planting in department schools. Beginning 12/31/2026, prohibits the manufacture, sale, offer for sale, distribution for sale, and distribution for use of any food packaging, food service ware, cosmetic, or personal care product that contains perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, with certain exceptions.
