Directs state departments to implement four day, forty hour work weeks. Addresses worker concerns of traffic congestion, commuting concerns, and work life balance.
Requires state participation in the multistate Nurse Licensure Compact, which will allow a nurse who is licensed by a home state to practice under a multistate licensure privilege in each party state.
Proposes a new section to article V of the Hawaii constitution to provide for the election of the attorney general. Amends article III, section 19, of the Hawaii constitution to allow for impeachment of the attorney general. Makes conforming amendment to article V, section 6, of the Hawaii Constitution relating to removal of the attorney general with the advice and consent of the senate.
Repeals the Corporate Income Tax Statues as a means of encouraging business investment and growth in the State.
Formally recognizes that the Office of Hawaiian Affairs is not barred from pursuing and may negotiate with respect to public land trust claims not addressed in Act 15, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012.
Prohibits the abortion of a fetus that contains a fetal heartbeat. Provides certain exceptions. Establishes penalties.
Requires that all moneys in the pro rata portion of the Public Land Trust be transferred to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
Requires all playgrounds located in state and county parks and on public school grounds include special needs recreational playground equipment as part of the recreational apparatuses by 6/30/2025 including at a minimum a wheelchair accessible swing set. Establishes the special needs recreational playground equipment special fund. Appropriates funds.
Requires the posting of informational placards on sex trafficking and resources available to victims, in public buildings and at other specified locations, and the development of a model placard by the Department of Human Services. Requires the Department of Education to train teachers, school administrators, and other school personnel on the dynamics of sex trafficking and strategies for prevention and response. Requires the Department of the Attorney General to develop and implement public education and outreach events on the dynamics of sex trafficking and the importance of community involvement in prevention and response efforts. Appropriates funds.
Exempts feminine hygiene products from the general excise tax.
