Temporarily expands the state rent supplement program to specifically target qualified individuals who are sixty-two years of age or older and are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Requires HPHA to submit annual reports to the legislature. Appropriates funds. Repeals 6/30/2026. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)
Clarifies that the conviction of a crime by a person holding a license to practice professional engineering, architecture, land surveying, or landscape architecture in the State, that is substantially related to the qualifications, functions, and duties of the licensee constitutes a ground for disciplinary action by the State Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, and Landscape Architects. Allows the Board to suspend or revoke a convicted licensee's license or decline to reissue a license to a convicted licensee subject to certain conditions.
Prohibits the public carry of firearms in sensitive places and upon private business establishment or charitable establishment premises, except under certain circumstances.

Requires the Department of Education to meet with Hawaiʻi School for the Deaf and Blind stakeholders and members of the Hawaiʻi deaf community regarding the development of a plan to transition the Hawaiʻi School for the Deaf and Blind to a conversion charter school. Requires the school facilities authority to conduct a feasibility study for the development of teacher and workforce housing at the Queen Liliuokalani elementary school property.
