Establishes an ombudsman's office for condominium associations within the department of commerce and consumer affairs. Establishes an ombudsman's office special fund. Requires condominium association board members to meet certain educational requirements through classes offered by the ombudsman. Updates the Condominium Property Act to integrate the role and functions of the ombudsman's office for condominium associations. Appropriates funds for establishment of the ombudsman's office. Effective 1/1/2024.
Prohibits persons convicted of certain felony offenses against public administration from becoming a candidate for or holding public office for a sufficient duration after the person's final discharge.
Removes biomass from the renewable portfolio standard definition of renewable energy.
Establishes the office of the public advocate. Establishes rights for members of the public with respect to the conduct and operation of the legislature and its members. Specifies procedures for the investigation and reporting of alleged violations of the rights.
