RELATING TO EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

Converts the positions of the administrator of the Hawaii criminal justice data center and the chief special investigator of the department of the attorney general from civil service status to exempt status. Effective 1/1/2222. (HD1)

RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

RELATING TO THE PROCUREMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES.

Allows a purchasing agency to submit a request for alternative procurement approval from the chief procurement officer or chief procurement officer's designee if less than three qualified persons respond to a solicitation. Effective 7/1/2112. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW.

Amends the title of chapter 386, part V, subpart C, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), to add reserve public safety law enforcement officers. Amends the workers' compensation law to include reserve public safety law enforcement officers to the list of covered volunteer occupations. Allows reserve public safety law enforcement officers who are injured under the conditions specified in section 386-3, HRS, to receive workers' compensation. Adds reserve public safety law enforcement officers to the list of volunteers who are covered under the conditions for computing average weekly wages. Effective 12/25/2040. (HD1)

RELATING TO PURCHASES OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES.

Authorizes heads of purchasing agencies to issue requests for statement of qualifications and to establish lists of qualified providers for treatment purchase of services. Increases the small purchase threshold for purchases of health and human services. Abolishes the community council on purchase of health and human services. Effective 7/1/2112. (HD1)

RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

Requires the office of elections to prepare a voter registration guide to be posted on its website or printed and mailed upon request. Requires the office of election to mail a notice with each ballot notifying voters that a digital voter information guide may be found on its website or a physical copy may be mailed upon request. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/2112. (HD1)
