Prohibits any person, including a hotel guest, from storing, keeping, carrying, or possessing any firearm or ammunition in any hotel room assigned to a guest with certain exceptions.

RELATING TO SEXUAL VIOLENCE.

RELATING TO AUTOMATIC RESTRAINING ORDERS.

Automatically imposes a restraining order upon parties filing for annulment, divorce, or separation to preserve the financial assets of the parties and their dependents and maintain the current island of residence and school of enrollment of a minor child of the parties. (HB1614 CD1)

RELATING TO THE ROSE-RINGED PARAKEET.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources to provide assistance and supplemental funding to the National Wildlife Research Center of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to conduct pilot field studies to evaluate control tools, develop a control plan, and support other efforts to reduce the rose-ringed parakeet population on Kauai. RELATING TO MARINE EVENTS.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to allow applications for marine event permits up to one year in advance and authorizes the Department to adopt rules to mitigate hazards posed by vessels, thrill craft, drones, and other means used by spectators to observe or record marine events. Requires a report to the 2019 Legislature. (HB2259 CD1)

RELATING TO OPIOIDS.

RELATING TO PRESCHOOLS.

Makes housekeeping amendments to remove preschools from the Superintendent's scope of authority and to clarify that the Executive Office on Early Learning Director may authorize preschool personnel access to a student's immunization registry information. Requires the DOE to administer special education and Title I funded programs at the prekindergarten level. (SD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOL BUSES.

Increases the fine to not more than $1,000 for passing or overtaking a school bus on a state highway while the bus is stopped and its visual signals are turned on. Effective upon approval. (HB1938 CD1)

RELATING TO FEES.

Requires the Department of Health to furnish, free of charge, certified copies of birth certificates for any individual who is homeless, provided the individual's homeless status is corroborated by a verification letter issued by a homeless service provider. Repeals June 30, 2021. (HB2694 CD1)

RELATING TO THE PRACTICE OF BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS.

Updates and standardizes the terminology used to refer to behavior analysts and applied behavior analysis. Clarifies the licensing exemptions for certain individuals who provide behavior analysis services. Requires the Department of Education to create and implement a plan to provide Medicaid billable applied behavior analysis services to all students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder within the Department.
