RELATING TO MAUI'S PERMANENT HOUSING RECOVERY.

Establishes within the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism the Interagency Council for Maui Housing Recovery to coordinate and facilitate Maui's permanent housing recovery and facilitate consultation and collaboration between state and county agencies on housing recovery initiatives for the island of Maui. Designates the executive director of the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation to serve as chair of the council. Appropriates moneys. Sunsets 6/30/2034. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOL MEALS.

RELATING TO INSURANCE.

RELATING TO HAWAII EDUCATOR LOANS.

Opens eligibility under the Hawaiʻi Educator Loan Program for students and teachers who agree to teach as a full-time teacher in a public charter school. Decreases the service requirement for total loan forgiveness to five years and increases the percent of the total loan award to be waived annually under the Hawaiʻi Educator Loan Program. Appropriates funds into and out of the Hawaiʻi educator loan program revolving fund to provide financial assistance for students participating under the Hawaiʻi educator loan program. No later than January 1, 2025, requires the Department of Accounting and General Services to install and maintain automated external defibrillators in certain state buildings. Requires the Department of Accounting and General Services to provide trainings on the use of automated external defibrillators for certain state employees and security staff. Appropriates funds.
