RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND.

Prohibits the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (Fund) from withholding any retroactive reimbursement payable after June 30, 2013, to a retired employee-beneficiary and qualified employee-beneficiary's spouse for an income-adjusted Medicare Part B premium based on the time in which the adjustment request is made to the Fund. RELATING TO HEALTH CARE.

Appropriates funds to improve the health care services related to cardiac care at Kona Community Hospital. Funds may be used for the construction of a hybrid catheterization lab and operating room and funding of cardiology staff positions to alleviate the lack of cardiac care. Permits the Department of Health to hire physicians to serve as district health officers. (HB782 HD1)

Allows two or more separate entities to submit single joint offers in response to a solicitation. Allows purchasing agencies to award single contracts to two or more separate entities that submit joint offers.
