A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to courts, so as to revise a provision relating to the use of a deadly weapon; to provide for additional offenses where the superior court has exclusive jurisdiction in juvenile cases; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 46 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to public utilities and public transportation, so as to subject certain companies providing water services in this state to regulation by the Public Service Commission; to provide for the review of certain increases to the rates and charges of such companies by the commission; to provide for financial record keeping of such companies; to provide for rules and regulations; to provide for assessments and legislative recommendations by the commission; to provide for definitions; to provide an effective date; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 8 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to employment and training of police officers, so as to require the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council to create and maintain an at-risk adult training course focusing on officer response to individuals with Alzheimer's disease or dementia; to provide for requirements for such course; to provide for collaborative course development with the Division of Aging Services; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 32 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to highways, bridges, and ferries, so as to authorize the construction or maintenance of roads upon military bases or installations by the Department of Transportation when done so through agreement with and when paid for by the United States Department of Defense or other federal entity; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 40-1-8 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to safe operations of motor carriers, commercial motor vehicles, and drivers and safe transportation of hazardous materials, so as to update the reference date to federal regulations regarding the safe operation of motor carriers and commercial motor vehicles; to revise a definition; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 5 of Chapter 2 of Title 35 and Title 40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to Motor Carrier Compliance Division of the Department of Public Safety and motor vehicles and traffic, respectively, so as to change the name of the Motor Carrier Compliance Division of the Department of Public Safety to Commercial Vehicle Enforcement; to require law enforcement officers within such division be trained, sworn, and certified; to provide for conforming changes; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend an Act creating the Chatham Area Transit Authority, approved March 28, 1986 (Ga. L. 1986, p. 5082), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 11, 2012 (Ga. L. 2012, p. 5296), so as to abolish the current authority memberships; to provide for new board membership; to provide terms of office; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to provide a homestead exemption from Chatham County school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes in an amount equal to the amount by which the current year assessed value of a homestead exceeds the base year assessed value of such homestead; to provide for definitions; to specify the terms and conditions of the exemption and the procedures relating thereto; to provide for applicability; to provide a short title; to provide for compliance with constitutional requirements; to provide for a referendum, effective dates, automatic repeal, mandatory execution of election, and judicial remedies regarding failure to comply; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend an Act to provide for the creation of one or more community improvement districts in the City of Rincon, approved April 25, 2022 (Ga. L. 2022, p. 5627), so as to revise provisions relating to the designation of electors; to revise the appointment and election of board members; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
