Motor vehicles; presentation of a driver's license in a certain electronic format; provisions

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to issuance, expiration, and renewal of drivers' licenses, so as to provide that presentation of a driver's license in a certain electronic format satisfies the requirement to possess a driver's license while operating a motor vehicle; to prohibit the compelling of a licensee to produce a wireless telecommunications device to a law enforcement officer; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

Polk County; school district ad valorem tax; provide homestead exemption

A BILL to be entitled an Act to provide a homestead exemption from Polk County school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes in the amount of the greater of 50 percent or $60,000.00 of the assessed value of the homestead for residents of that school district who are 65 years of age or older, in the amount of the greater of 75 percent or $80,000.00 of the assessed value of the homestead for residents of that school district who are 70 years of age or older, and in the amount of the full assessed value of the homestead for residents of that school district who are 77 years of age or older, all with a temporary cap on the annual aggregate exemption amount; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
