Parity for Nonnursing Services Under Long-term Managed Care Plans; Beginning on a specified date, requiring the Agency for Health Care Administration to reimburse nonnursing services provided by licensed providers at the same rate or higher than the rate it reimburses unlicensed providers for such services under the Medicaid long-term managed care program; requiring the agency annually to adjust the rate for licensed providers, etc.

Suicide Prevention for Active and Former Members of the United States Armed Forces, the National Guard, and their Reserve Components; Requiring a facility conducting an involuntary examination to include in its report to the Baker Act Reporting Center whether the individual examined is an active or former member of the United States Armed Forces, the National Guard, or their reserve components, etc.

Emergency Residential Property Insurance Assistance Trust Fund/Department of Financial Services; Creating the Emergency Residential Property Insurance Assistance Trust Fund within the Department of Financial Services; providing eligibility for financial assistance from the trust fund; providing for funding and administration of the trust fund; providing for future review and termination or re-creation of the trust fund, etc.

Historic Cemeteries Program; Requiring local governments to approve applications from historic African-American cemeteries to change the land use category and zoning district of excess vacant land under certain conditions, etc.

Protection from Surgical Smoke; Defining the terms “smoke evacuation system” and “surgical smoke”; requiring hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers, by a specified date, to adopt and implement policies to prevent patients and personnel from being exposed to harmful surgical smoke, etc.

Presumptive Medicaid Eligibility for Pregnant Women; Authorizing certain entities meeting specified criteria to serve as qualified Medicaid providers for purposes of making presumptive Medicaid eligibility determinations for pregnant women; requiring the Department of Children and Families to ensure that such providers are adequately trained and monitored for compliance when serving in such roles; requiring the Agency for Health Care Administration to provide Medicaid coverage to pregnant women deemed presumptively eligible for the duration of a specified time period, etc.

Medicaid Providers; Requiring the Agency for Health Care Administration to include specified requirements in its contracts with Medicaid managed care plans; defining the term “outside of regular business hours”, etc.

Use of Professional Nursing Titles; Providing that licensed advanced practice registered nurses who hold specified degrees may use titles and abbreviations associated with those degrees in a specified manner; prohibiting such persons from holding themselves out to patients or prospective patients as a doctor in advertising without also clearly denoting their licensed profession, etc.

Drowning Prevention Education; Requiring the Department of Health to develop educational materials on drowning prevention safety measures and safe bathing practices for specified purposes; providing requirements for such materials; requiring hospitals, birth centers, and home birth providers to provide the educational materials to new parents and caregivers as part of their postpartum education and care, etc.

Public Records/Petitions for Injunctions for Protection Against Serious Violence by a Known Person; Providing an exemption from public records requirements for petitions, and the contents thereof, for injunctions for protection against serious violence by a known person; providing an exemption from public records requirements for information that can be used to identify a petitioner or respondent in such a petition for an injunction; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.
