Residential Swimming Pool Requirements; Requiring that swimming pools located on residential real property that is transferred or sold on or after a specified date meet certain pool safety and pool barrier requirements; requiring home inspectors to report violations of the law to a local enforcement agency, etc.
Managed Care Plans; Revising Medicaid managed care contract requirements to prohibit managed care plans from reviewing certain prior authorization claims for medical necessity; requiring that managed care plans provide coverage for durable medical equipment and complex rehabilitation technology from a qualified provider, from within the provider network, of the enrollee’s choosing, etc.
Relief of Maury Hernandez by the Department of Corrections; Providing for the relief of Maury Hernandez; providing an appropriation to compensate former Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Maury Hernandez for injuries and damages sustained as a consequence of the Department of Corrections’ failures to enforce probation laws, regulations, and policies; providing legislative intent that certain liens be waived; providing a limitation on the payment of compensation and attorney fees, etc. CLAIM WITH APPROPRIATION: $5,000,000
Patient-directed Medical Orders; Revising definitions and defining the term “patient-directed medical order”; authorizing the execution of a patient-directed medical order for a specified purpose; requiring that certain health care services be provided to the principal regardless of the decision to withhold or withdraw life-prolonging procedures; authorizing physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses to withhold or withdraw life-prolonging procedures under certain circumstances without penalty; requiring the Agency for Health Care Administration to create and update a database for the storage of patient-directed medical orders, etc.
Public Accountancy; Authorizing the Board of Accountancy to competitively procure contracted services with certain corporations not for profit for the performance of certain duties assigned to the Division of Certified Public Accounting of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation; revising the education and work experience requirements for a certified public accountant license; directing the board to prescribe specified coursework for licensure; revising requirements for the approval of providers who administer continuing education on ethics for certified public accountants, etc.
Public Records/Municipal Clerks and their Staff ; Providing a public records exemption for personal identifying and location information of current and former municipal clerks and their staff and the personal identifying and location information of the spouses and children of such municipal clerks and their staff; providing for future legislative review and repeal of the exemption; providing for retroactive application of the exemption; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.
Public Records/Emergency Department Physicians; Defining the term “emergency department physician”; providing exemptions from public records requirements for the personal identifying and location information of current emergency department physicians and the spouses and certain children of such emergency department physicians; requiring certain agencies that are custodians of the exempt information to maintain the exempt status of such information under certain circumstances; providing for future legislative review and repeal of the exemption; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.
Living Organ Donation; Defining the term “living organ donor”; requiring state agencies to grant administrative leave, not to exceed a specified number of days, to allow an employee to serve as a living organ donor; requiring employers to grant an unpaid leave of absence to allow an employee to serve as a living organ donor under certain circumstances, etc.
School Zone and Pedestrian Safety; Requiring that design and construction plans for the installation of crosswalks in school zones or on certain streets, roads, or highways include certain traffic control devices, etc.
