Conservation Area Designations/Kristin Jacobs Coral Reef Ecosystem Conservation Area; Designating the Southeast Florida Coral Reef Ecosystem Conservation Area as the Kristin Jacobs Coral Reef Ecosystem Conservation Area; directing the Department of Environmental Protection to erect suitable markers, etc.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Memorial Day; Recognizing February 14, 2022, and each February 14 thereafter, as “Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Memorial Day” in Florida, a day of remembrance for all of those who lost their lives, or whose lives were forever changed, as a result of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, etc.

Alert Systems in Public Schools; Citing this act as "Alyssa’s Law"; requiring each public school to implement a mobile panic alert system for specified purposes beginning in a specified school year; authorizing public school districts to implement additional strategies and systems for specified purposes; requiring the Department of Education to issue a competitive solicitation to contract for a mobile panic alert system, subject to appropriation, etc.

Reproductive Health; Requiring the Department of Health to immediately suspend the license of certain health care practitioners under certain circumstances; defining the term “pelvic examination”; prohibiting health care practitioners and certain students from performing a pelvic examination on a patient without first obtaining the written consent of the patient or the patient’s legal representative; establishing the criminal offense of reproductive battery, etc.

Sales of Ammunition; Citing this act as “Jaime’s Law”; requiring background checks for the sale or transfer of ammunition; providing exceptions, etc.

Student Elopement; Requiring public schools to create a School Staff Assistance for Emergencies (SAFE) Team and a school elopement plan; providing for membership and responsibilities of the team; requiring the team to create student-specific elopement quick reference guides for certain students; requiring public schools to annually submit their plans to the district school board, etc.

Child Welfare; Specifying that certain communication between a member of the clergy and a certain person is not exempt from child abuse reporting requirements; deleting an exemption for privileged communications to clergy relating to child abuse, abandonment, or neglect, etc.

Students With Disabilities in Public Schools; Requiring school districts to prohibit the use of seclusion on students with disabilities in public schools; prohibiting specified restraint techniques; requiring a video camera to be placed in specified classrooms upon the request of a parent; requiring schools to provide written notice to certain individuals of the placement of a video camera; requiring continuing education and inservice training for instructional personnel teaching students with emotional or behavioral disabilities, etc.

Aggravated Child Abuse; Redefining the term “aggravated child abuse”; providing a criminal penalty, etc.
