Fee Waivers For Students Living in Recovery Residence; Authorizes FCS institutions, career centers, & charter technical career centers to waive out-of-state fees for students living in recovery residence; prohibits tuition & fees charged to student who is granted waiver from exceeding tuition & fees charged to resident student; provides requirements for such students & waivers.
Electrocardiograms for Student Athletes; Requires certain students to receive electrocardiogram to participate in interscholastic athletic competition; provides exemption from such procedure; provides requirements for such exemption.
Ad Valorem Tax Exemption for Nonprofit Homes for the Aged; Revises ownership entities for certain nonprofit homes qualifying for exemption from ad valorem taxation to include certain limited partnerships.
Compulsory School Attendance; Revises required age for compulsory school attendance from 16 to 18 years of age; removes requirement that student's parent sign declaration of intent to terminate school enrollment; removes requirement that school district notify student's parent upon receipt of such declaration.
Energy Equity Task Force; Creates task force adjunct to DACS for specified purpose; provides for membership, duties, & expiration of task force; requires DACS to provide task force staff & administrative support; requires task force to submit report to specified officials by certain date.
Antiretroviral Drugs; Authorizes pharmacists to order & dispense preexposure & postexposure prophylaxes to patients without prescriptions; requires pharmacists to complete specified training; authorizes pharmacists to order & dispense specified supplies of preexposure prophylaxes & full courses of postexposure prophylaxes to patients without prescriptions; prohibits health insurers from requiring prior authorizations or step-therapy protocols for antiretroviral drugs; prohibits health insurers from refusing to cover, or allowing pharmacy benefit managers to refuse to cover, preexposure & postexposure prophylaxes.
First Responder's Employment-related Accidents and Injuries; Revises definition of "first responder" to include 911 public safety telecommunicators for purposes of eligibility for workers' compensation benefits for first responders; requires employing agency to provide educational training annually; requires such training be provided by certain mental health practitioners.
Abatement of Taxes for Residential Dwellings Rendered Uninhabitable by Catastrophic Event; Specifies conditions under which persons whose residential dwellings are rendered uninhabitable may receive abatement of taxes; specifies formula for determining tax abatement; provides directives to property appraisers in issuing written statements to tax collector when granting abatement & in calculating damage differentials & processing refunds; provides mechanism for persons to file late applications for abatement of taxes.
Property Tax Exemptions For Widows, Widowers, Blind Persons, or Persons Totally and Permanently Disabled; Increases property tax exemption for residents who are widows, widowers, blind persons, or persons totally & permanently disabled.
