Prescription Drugs Used in the Treatment of Schizophrenia for Medicaid Recipients; Authorizes approval of drug products or certain medication prescribed for treatment of schizophrenia or schizotypal or delusional disorders for Medicaid recipients who have not met step-therapy prior authorization criteria under certain circumstances.

Peer Specialists; Provides peer specialists are essential element of coordinated system of care in recovery from substance use disorder or mental illness; revises background screening requirements for peer specialists; revises requirements for certification as peer specialist; requires DCF to develop training program for peer specialists.

Drug-related Overdose Prevention; Revises provisions relating to prescribing, ordering, & dispensing of emergency opioid antagonists; authorizes pharmacists to order certain emergency opioid antagonists; provides specified immunities; authorizes personnel of law enforcement agencies & other agencies to administer emergency opioid antagonists; revises requirements for certain health awareness campaign; requires reporting of controlled substance overdoses.

Volunteer Ambulance Services; Authorizing certain medical staff of a volunteer ambulance service to use red lights on a privately owned vehicle under certain circumstances; authorizing vehicles of volunteer ambulance services to show or display red lights and operate emergency lights and sirens under certain circumstances; authorizing privately owned vehicles belonging to certain medical staff of a volunteer ambulance service to display or use red warning signals under certain circumstances; providing that county and municipal governments may not limit, prohibit, or prevent volunteer ambulance services from responding to emergencies or providing emergency medical services or transport within their respective jurisdictions, etc.
