Florida Safe Drinking Water Act; Requires DEP to adopt & implement rules for statewide maximum contaminant levels for specified pollutants by date certain; provides requirements for adopting & implementing such rules; requires DEP to annually review specified studies & laws & initiate certain rulemaking.
Florida Seal of Fine Arts Program; Establishes Florida Seal of Fine Arts Program to recognize high school graduate who has attained high level of skill in fine arts coursework; provides requirements for such program.
Electric Vehicle Charging Station Infrastructure; Requires PSC, in consultation with other agencies, to recommend to Governor and Legislature a plan for development of electric vehicle charging station infrastructure along State Highway System; provides goals & objectives of plan; requires PSC to file status report with Governor & Legislature by specified date.
Florida Climate and Resiliency Research Program; Establishes program within DEP; provides for program purpose & participants; requires program to submit Florida Resiliency Plan to Governor & Legislature at specified intervals; provides plan requirements; directs DEP to coordinate & oversee program & provide staff support.
Civic Education; Requires Commissioner of Education to develop minimum criteria for nonpartisan civic literacy practicum & process to verify successful completion of such practicum; provides requirements for such practicum; requires SBE to annually designate public schools that meet specified criteria as Freedom Schools & establish criteria for designation as Freedom School; provides requirements for such criteria.
Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority; Renames Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority Metropolitan Planning Organization Chairs Coordinating Committee; removes requirement that authority provide committee with administrative support & direction; authorizes mayor's designated alternate to serve as member of governing board of authority; provides membership requirements; specifies designated alternate's right to vote; provides quorum requirements; removes obsolete provisions; removes powers & duties of authority relating to committee.
Child Welfare; Specifies rights of children in out-of-home care; provides roles & responsibilities for certain persons & entities; requires that case plan be developed in face-to-face conference with caregiver of child; provides additional requirements for content & distribution of case plan; requires caseworker to provide specified information relating to certain subsidies to caregivers of certain children; provides requirements for social study reports, caregivers, licensure & operation of family foster homes, residential child-caring facilities, & child-placing agencies; requires lead agency, rather than department, to provide caregivers with contact when caseworker is unavailable; requires lead agencies to recruit & retain foster homes.
