Homeless Youth; Revises & provides provisions relating to specified homeless youth, including ability to receive documents at no charge, aid in achieving postsecondary education success, assistance in acquiring motor vehicle insurance & driver licenses, certification as unaccompanied homeless youth, removal of disability of nonage, card issued by school board containing specified information, ability to consent to certain care, & fee exemption eligibility.

Care of Students with Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders; Requires school to provide epilepsy or seizure disorder care to student; provides for creation & implementation of individualized seizure action plan for students with epilepsy or seizure disorders to receive health care at school; provides requirements for DOE, schools, school nurses & certain other school employees, & such plans.

Florida Cares 'Get Schooled' Rehabilitation Pilot Project; Provides an appropriation for the Florida Cares 'Get Schooled' Rehabilitation Pilot Project. APPROPRIATION: $101,038

Instructional Hours for the Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program; Revises instructional hours required in Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program to provide for 8-hour program day in summer & school-year programs.

School Meals; Requires schools to provide certain information relating to free or reduced-price meals; provides school duties & responsibilities relating free or reduced-price meals & students; prohibits schools from taking specified actions.

Hunger-Free Campus Grant Program; Establishes Hunger-Free Campus Grant Program within DACS; provides purpose & requirements of program; designates eligible public postsecondary educational institution campuses as Hunger-Free Campuses.

Pregnant Women in Custody; Designates act "Ava's Law"; requires that every female arrested & not released on bond within 72 hours after arrest be administered pregnancy test within specified timeframe, upon her request; requires that, if pregnant woman is convicted of crime & sentenced to incarceration of any length, sentencing judge provide her opportunity to defer imposed sentence until specified time after delivery; authorizes sentencing judge to order pregnant woman to comply with certain terms & conditions during deferral; requires that woman be offered, & receive upon her request, specified services within 10 days after deferral ends; requires collection & reporting of specified information.

Treatment of Inmates; Specifies certain rights of inmates in state correctional system; requires written copy of rights to be provided to each inmate; authorizes relief for deprivation of rights.

State Nutrition Assistance Reimbursement Program; Requires DCF to develop & implement state nutrition assistance reimbursement program to reimburse eligible community-based nonprofit organizations & religious nonprofit organizations; requires DCF to determine eligibility criteria & application procedures for program; authorizes such organizations to apply for reimbursement under program if certain condition is met; requires DCF to establish funding mechanism.

Active Shooter Alert System; Provides for development & implementation of active shooter alert system by FDLE; provides for cooperation by other agencies; provides criteria for activation of system; provides for termination of system; limits liability for failure to activate system.
