K-12 Teachers; Authorizing the Office of Inspector General within the Department of Education to investigate allegations and reports of suspected violations of certain persons’ rights; establishing the Dual Enrollment Educator Scholarship Program; establishing the Teacher Apprenticeship Program; providing eligibility requirements for apprentice teachers; revising the validity period for certain temporary certificates, etc.
Technology in K-12 Public Schools; Prohibiting the use of certain platforms on district-owned devices and through Internet access provided by the school district; authorizing teachers and other instructional personnel to designate an area for wireless communications during instructional time; requiring public schools to provide instruction on the social, emotional, and physical effects of social media, etc.
Transportation Facility Designations; Designates Deputy Sheriff Michael Hartwick Memorial Highway in Pinellas County; directs DOT to erect suitable markers.
Trust Fund/Creation/Dog Breeding Trust Fund; Creates Dog Breeding Trust Fund within DACS; provides for purpose of trust fund & source of funds; provides for future review & termination or re-creation of trust fund.
Surrendered Newborn Infants; Authorizes hospitals, emergency medical services stations, & fire stations to use newborn infant safety devices to accept surrendered newborn infants if device meets specified criteria; requires hospitals, emergency medical services stations, or fire stations to physically check & test devices at specified intervals; authorizes parent to leave newborn infant with medical staff or licensed healthcare professional at hospital after delivery of newborn infant; authorizes parent to surrender newborn infant by calling 911 & requesting EMS provider to meet at specified location to retrieve newborn infant.
