Assault or Battery on Hospital Personnel; Provides for reclassification of certain offenses committed against hospital personnel while engaged in performance of their duties.
Deceased Individuals ; Defines "next of kin"; requires law enforcement agencies to provide certain information during investigation of death of minor.
High School Equivalency Diplomas; Prohibits district school board from requiring certain students to take course before taking high school equivalency examination unless student failed to earn passing score on specified practice test.
State Park Campsite Reservations; Requires DEP Division of Recreation & Parks to allow residents & nonresidents to make state park cabin & campsite reservations within specified timeframes; requires residents to provide specified information for advance reservations.
Hunger-Free Campus Pilot Program; Establishes Hunger-Free Campus Pilot Program within DACS; provides requirements for pilot program; requires OPPAGA to conduct study to evaluate food insecurity on campuses of Florida College System institutions & state universities.
Surrendered Newborn Infants; Authorizes hospitals, emergency medical services stations, & fire stations to use newborn infant safety devices to accept surrendered newborn infants if device meets specified criteria; requires hospitals, emergency medical services stations, or fire stations to physically check & test devices at specified intervals; authorizes parent to leave newborn infant with medical staff or licensed healthcare professional at hospital after delivery of newborn infant; authorizes parent to surrender newborn infant by calling 911 & requesting EMS provider to meet at specified location to retrieve newborn infant.
Organ Donations; Authorizes certain persons to receive administrative leave for purposes of organ donation; provides requirements for authorization of such administrative leave; revises reimbursement rates for specified organ transplantation procedures.
Wind-borne Debris Regions; Requires county property appraisers for counties located within wind-borne debris region to specify certain information on property appraiser's website.
Prior Authorization for Health Care Services; Provides process to accept electronic requests for prior authorization for health care services; provides requirements for electronic prior authorization process; prohibits requirements for prior authorizations for certain health care services & medications; prohibits prior authorization revocations, limitations, conditions, & restrictions under specified circumstance; provides requirements for payments to health care providers; provides length of prior authorization validity; prohibits requirements for additional prior authorizations under certain circumstances.
