This measure memorializes the week beginning April 12, 2009, as California Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
This measure would declare April 2009 as Autism Awareness Month and recognize that individuals with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are valued and important members of society. This measure would recognize the parents and relatives of individuals with ASDs for their sacrifice and dedication in providing for the special needs of individuals with ASDs. This measure would also declare the Legislature's continued support of the work of specified organizations related to ASDs.
This measure would declare April 2009 as Financial Aid and Literacy Month to raise public awareness about the need for increased financial literacy.
This measure would recognize the week of April 26, 2009, through May 2, 2009, as Crime Victims' Rights Week.
This measure would designate April 30, 2009, as El Dia de los Ninos: Children's Day.
This measure would proclaim May 3 through May 9, 2009, as Cinco de Mayo Week, and would urge all Californians to join in celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
This measure would proclaim April 20 through April 26, 2009, as California Holocaust Memorial Week and would urge Californians to observe these days of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust in an appropriate manner.
This measure would proclaim April 23, 2009, as California Acupuncture Day, and would encourage all Californians to consider the use of acupuncture.
This measure would designate April 28, 2009, as School Bus Drivers' Day in California, in order to draw special public attention to school bus drivers for their continued and excellent services to pupils in California.
