This measure would designate that January 30, 2018, be observed as Fred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution.

This measure would commend South Korea for hosting the XXIII Olympic Winter Games and the XII Paralympic Winter Games and offer wishes for a safe and successful Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Existing law requires the State Department of Social Services to promote the participation of current and former foster youth in the development of state foster care and child welfare policy and, subject to the availability of funds, to contract with California Youth Connection to provide technical assistance and outreach to current and former foster youth. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
Existing law establishes within the Department of Housing and Community Development the California Housing Finance Agency and provides that the primary purpose of the agency is to meet the housing needs of persons and families of low or moderate income. Existing law requires the agency to administer, among other programs, a home purchase assistance program to assist low- and moderate-income homebuyers with qualifying for the purchase of owner-occupied homes, as specified. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
