Existing law requires the Wildfire and Forest Resilience Task Force to develop a comprehensive implementation strategy to track and ensure the achievement of the goals and key actions identified in the state's Wildfire and Forest Resilience Action Plan, as provided. Existing law requires the task force, on or before January 1, 2023, and annually thereafter until January 1, 2048, to submit a report containing specified information, including progress made in achieving the goals and key actions identified in the action plan, to the appropriate policy and budget committees of the Legislature. This bill would extend the time period for the submission of the annual report to January 1, 2049.
Existing law, the California Tourism Marketing Act, requires the Office of Tourism to establish the California Travel and Tourism Commission, as a separate, independent California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation, for the purpose of promoting tourism in California, as specified. Existing law creates a board of commissioners to direct the commission and imposes eligibility requirements on commissioners. Specifically, existing law requires commissioners to be professionally active in the tourism industry and have their primary business, trade, or profession be directly related to the tourism industry. Existing law requires a commissioner to automatically cease to be a commissioner after 90 days if the commissioner ceases to meet those requirements and does not become eligible again within the 90 days. This bill would extend the period that the commissioner will serve as a commissioner upon ceasing to meet the eligibility criteria from 90 days to 95 days.
Existing law, the Knox-Keene Health Care Service Plan Act of 1975, provides for the licensure and regulation of health care service plans by the Department of Managed Health Care and makes a willful violation of the act a crime. Existing law requires the Department of Managed Health Care to adopt regulations establishing standards and requirements for health care service plans to provide enrollees with appropriate access to language assistance in obtaining health care services. Existing law requires the department to report biennially to, among others, the Legislature, regarding plan compliance with the standards. This bill would instead require the department to provide that report 3 times a year.
