This measure would urge the United States Congress to pass the International Violence Against Women Act, and establish the offices and policies therein.

This measure would recognize May 10, 2010, and each May 10 thereafter, as Asian Pacific American Mental Health Day, and acknowledge the importance of raising awareness about mental health in the Asian Pacific American community.
Existing law, the Urban Water Management Planning Act, requires an urban water supplier, as defined, to prepare and adopt an urban water management plan for submission to the Department of Water Resources and other entities, in accordance with prescribed requirements. The act requires each urban water supplier to update its urban water management plan at least once every 5 years on or before December 31, in years ending in 5 and zero. The act requires an urban water management plan to include, among other things, an urban water shortage contingency analysis. The urban water shortage contingency analysis is required to include various elements relating to water supply availability during water shortages and interruptions. This bill, commencing with the urban water management plan update due on December 31, 2015, would require an urban water supplier, for purposes of developing a water shortage contingency analysis, to analyze and define water features that are artificially supplied with water, including ponds, lakes, waterfalls, and fountains, separately from swimming pools and spas, as defined.
This measure would continue the existence and set forth the membership of the California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness, to perform duties to promote fitness and health in schools and workplaces. It would permit the task force to accept private funds and in-kind donations, require the task force to submit a report on its work to the Legislature on or before June 30, 2012, and provide that the task force would cease to exist on July 1, 2014, unless its existence is extended by a later enacted resolution.
This measure would memorialize Congress and the President of the United States to act to vindicate the sailors unjustly blamed for, and the sailors convicted of mutiny following, the Port Chicago disaster, and to rectify any mistreatment by the military of those sailors, as specified.

This measure would request the Congress to develop a comprehensive federal regulatory framework for marine aquaculture that undergoes complete environmental review and is at least as protective as that codified in California's Sustainable Oceans Act to address environmental and economic concerns.
