This bill would recognize May 12, 2018, as Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento Day and proclaim that elementary schools across the Sacramento region encourage girls in grades 3 to 8, inclusive, to get involved and participate in a nearby Girls on the Run program.

This measure would recognize 2018 as the milestone 50th Anniversary of the Napa County Agricultural Preserve, and further recognize the critical part the hundreds of growers, vintners, local leaders, and members of the Napa community play to preserve the beauty and splendor of the valley and its agricultural industries, for this and future generations.

This measure would proclaim the month of April 2018 as California Wines: Down to Earth Month, to celebrate the sustainable leadership of California wineries and winegrape growers throughout the month of April.
Existing law declares that the policy of the State of California is to ensure that the unpaid cash residue and unclaimed or abandoned funds in class action litigation are distributed appropriately. Existing law prescribes the allocation of any unpaid cash residue or unclaimed or abandoned class member funds generally attributable to California residents, plus any accrued interest that has not otherwise been distributed. Specifically, existing law requires 25% of these funds to be transmitted to the State Treasury for deposit in the Trial Court Improvement and Modernization Fund; 25% to be transmitted to the State Treasury for deposit in the Equal Access Fund of the Judicial Branch; and the remaining 50% to be transmitted to other enumerated programs, such as nonprofit organizations and foundations providing civil legal services to the indigent. This bill would add nonprofit organizations or advocacy programs providing legal services to victims of sexual harassment, pay inequity, or race, ethnicity, or age discrimination to the enumerated programs described above.
This measure would proclaim April 11, 2018, as Special Olympics Day.
