This measure would declare July 27, 2018, as California Bullying Prevention Day, also to be known as Rosie's Day.

This measure would urge the United States Department of Justice not to direct its enforcement priorities towards California's lawfully and closely regulated cannabis industry, among other things.
This measure would encourage the federal government to maintain or restore full funding to integral international exchange programs, such as the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
The Field Act requires the Department of General Services under the police power of the state to supervise the design and construction of any school building or the reconstruction or alteration of or addition to any school building, if not exempted, to ensure that plans and specifications comply with adopted rules and regulations, and building standards published in regulations, and that the work of construction is performed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications for the protection of life and property. The act also requires the department to make inspections of the school buildings and of the work of construction or alteration that, in its judgment, is necessary or proper for the enforcement of these requirements and the protection of the safety of the pupils, the instructors, and the public. The act requires the department, among other things, to require specified examinations and evaluations of those providing inspections. This bill would require the department to revise the inspector examination to be done not later than 36 months after the last revision, revise the inspector competency reevaluation to occur not later than 48 months after the last evaluation, and include in the inspector competency evaluation and reevaluation the meeting of specified education and training requirements as specified by the department.
This measure would recognize the month of June 2018 as California's Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month and Thursday, June 21, 2018, as The Longest Day in California, and would urge all Californians to wear purple on this day to help spread global awareness of the Alzheimer's Association's vision of a world without Alzheimer's disease.
Existing law establishes the state flag and the state's emblems, including, among other things, the golden poppy as the official state flower and the California redwood as the official state tree. This bill would establish surfing as the official state sport.
