This measure would recognize March 7, 2020, as California Arbor Day, and would urge California residents to observe the day with appropriate tree-planting activities and programs.
This measure would memorialize the achievements of Rosa Parks in the Civil Rights Movement and would commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Rosa Parks Day in California on February 4, 2020.
Existing law authorizes the legislative body of a city to control, dispose of, and convey property for the benefit of the city. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to subsequently enact legislation that would require a public bid on any city-owned property valued at $100,000,000 or more.
Existing law authorizes the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to issue a craft distiller's license to a person, as defined, that has facilities and equipment for the purposes of, and is engaged in, the commercial manufacture of distilled spirits. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
Existing law authorizes the Secretary of State to appoint and commission notaries public in such number as the secretary deems necessary for the public convenience. Existing law requires every person appointed a notary public to take and subscribe an oath of office either in the office of the county clerk within which the person maintains a principal place of business, as specified, or before another notary public in that county. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
Existing law provides for the creation by local ordinance, or by ministerial approval if a local agency has not adopted an ordinance, of accessory dwelling units to allow single-family or multifamily dwelling residential use in accordance with specified standards and conditions. Existing law, with certain exceptions, prohibits a local agency from using or imposing any additional standards, including, until January 1, 2025, owner-occupant requirements. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to these provisions.
Existing law requires a dealer or lessor-retailer, when selling a vehicle, to attach for display a copy of a report-of-sale form to the vehicle before the vehicle is delivered to the purchaser. Existing law also requires a dealer or lessor-retailer, when selling a vehicle, to attach a temporary license plate to a vehicle that does not already display a license plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. This bill would require a dealer or lessor-retailer, when selling a vehicle, to attach for display a copy of a report-of-sale form to the vehicle before the vehicle is delivered to the purchaser only if the dealer does not attach a temporary license plate to the vehicle.
This measure would proclaim January 23, 2020, as Maternal Health Awareness Day, to draw attention to the efforts that have improved maternal health in California and to highlight the need for continued improvement of maternal health for all women.
