This measure would proclaim the month of April, each year, as California Native Plant Month and would encourage community groups, schools, and citizens to undertake appropriate activities to promote the conservation, restoration, and appreciation of California's native plants.

This measure would designate March 20, 2023, as World Behavior Analysis Day.
This measure would recognize May 11, 2023, as California Attractions and Parks Day, and would declare that the Legislature intends to take actions to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the California Attractions and Parks Association and celebrate the organization's important role and many contributions to California's tourism industry through its promotion, support, and sponsorship of a wide variety of activities and programs at attractions and parks throughout the state.
The California Constitution requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to be nonpartisan, elected by the voters at each gubernatorial election, exempt from civil service, and limited to 2 terms. The Constitution prescribes the start day of the Superintendent's first term and how to fill a vacancy in the office of the Superintendent. This measure would prohibit an election for Superintendent from being held in 2026. The measure would, commencing January 1, 2027, require the Superintendent to instead be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the Governor, with confirmation by the Assembly, the Senate, and the Senate Committee on Rules. The measure would make inapplicable to the Superintendent the above-mentioned nonpartisan, term limit, start day, and vacancy provisions.
This measure would recognize "Women Warriors" by proclaiming the week of March 13, 2023, to March 19, 2023, inclusive, as Women's Military History Week in California, recognize the hard-fought contributions of women to the military and freedom, and encourage Californians to honor the courageous sacrifices that women have made since the historic lifting of the ban on women in combat on January 24, 2013.
This measure would proclaim March 6, 2023, to March 10, 2023, inclusive, as School Breakfast Week and would recognize the importance of school nutrition programs and school nutrition staff in addressing the needs of the state's pupils.
This measure would proclaim March 19, 2023, to March 25, 2023, as California Down Syndrome Awareness Week and March 21, 2023, as California Down Syndrome Day, and would encourage all Californians to support and participate in related activities.
This measure would proclaim March 2023 as American Red Cross Month and would dedicate it to all those who continue to advance the noble legacy of the organization's founder. The measure would encourage all Californians to reach out, support the organization's humanitarian mission, and join in their commitment to care for people in need.
