This measure would proclaim October 21, 2023, and the same date each year thereafter, as Hanbok Day in the State of California.

This measure would declare that the month of January 2024 be recognized as National Mentoring Month, would thank those who participate in quality mentoring programs, and would call upon residents to help close the gap between the availability of mentors and the number of children facing challenging circumstances, as specified.
Existing law allows individuals charged with specified crimes, including drug offenses, to qualify for deferred entry of judgment, known as diversion. Existing law requires every county drug program administrator, in consultation with representatives of the court and the county probation department, to establish minimum requirements, criteria, and fees for the successful completion of drug diversion programs, including a minimum of 20 hours of education, counseling, or any combination of both for each divertee, as specified. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
Existing law, the Zenovich-Moscone-Chacon Housing and Home Finance Act, states that the Legislature finds and declares that the subject of housing is of vital statewide importance to the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the state for specified reasons. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to those provisions.
This measure would urge the federal Office of Management and Budget to update its Uniform Guidance in order to improve job creation, quality, and equity.
This measure would recognize the month of January 2024 as National Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
Existing law requires the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges, in consultation with specified entities, to develop a modern policing degree program and to prepare and submit a report to the Legislature outlining a plan to implement the program. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to these provisions.
