Existing law requires the Department of Housing and Community Development to adopt regulations to govern the construction, maintenance, occupancy, and use of special occupancy parks, as defined, and lots within the parks. Existing law requires the regulations to establish standards and requirements that protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the occupants and residents of parks. Under existing law, the Department of Parks and Recreation controls the state park system, which is made up of units. Existing law requires the department to prepare or revise a general plan for a unit, as specified, and requires the department to furnish a copy of the general plan for any unit of the state park system for which a plan has been prepared to any Member of the Legislature, upon request. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.
