California's community-based developmental services system: 50th anniversary.

This measure would recognize the year of 2016 as the 50th anniversary of California's community-based developmental services system, and would reaffirm the commitment of the Legislature to support this system. This measure would declare the importance of ensuring a sustainable system that protects the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Relative to Calexico West Land Port of Entry project.

This measure would respectfully urge Congress to appropriate $248 million in funding to complete Phase 2 of the Calexico West Land Port of Entry reconfiguration and expansion project in order to realize the benefits the improvements of this project will have on the nation's economy.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: cash-out policy.

This measure would request the federal government to change federal policy in order to allow California to equitably end the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) cash-out policy, administered through the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Supplementary Payment (SSP) programs, in a way that would maximize benefits to, and participation among, newly eligible individuals and mitigate or eliminate harm to low-income families and the approximately 60,000 medically needy children who could be made ineligible for certain benefits under a program without the cash-out policy.

Interim Consolidated Storage Act of 2015: San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.

This measure would urge the passage of the Interim Consolidated Storage Act of 2015 and urge the United States Department of Energy to implement the prompt and safe relocation of spent nuclear fuel from the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station to a licensed and regulated interim consolidated storage facility.

Relative to the Kevin Woyjeck Memorial Highway.

This measure would designate a portion of Interstate 405 in the County of Orange as the Kevin Woyjeck Memorial Highway. The measure would also request the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs showing this special designation and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering that cost, to erect those signs.

Relative to the America's Heroes-Veterans Memorial Highway.

This measure would designate a portion of State Highway Route 49 in the County of Amador as the America's Heroes–Veterans Memorial Highway. The measure would request the Department of Transportation to determine the cost for appropriate signs, as specified, and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering that cost, to erect those signs.
