California Community Colleges: chancellor and president compensation.

Existing law establishes the California Community Colleges, under the administration of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, as one of the segments of public postsecondary education in this state. Existing law establishes community college districts, administered by a governing board, throughout the state. This bill would require the Legislative Analyst's Office to conduct a study to evaluate the compensation, as defined, of the chancellors and presidents of the California Community Colleges' districts and campuses, as specified. The bill would require the Legislative Analyst's Office to report the study to specified committees of the Legislature by January 1, 2014.

Relative to National Multicultural Cancer Awareness Week.

This measure would designate the week of April 15 to 21, 2012, as "National Multicultural Cancer Awareness Week," and would encourage the promotion of policies and programs that seek to reduce cancer disparities and improve cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and followup care for all Californians.

Relative to California Charter Schools Week.

This measure would proclaim May 6, 2012, to May 12, 2012, inclusive, to be California Charter Schools Week, and would state that the Legislature joins the California Charter Schools Association in congratulating charter schools for the accomplishments and contributions they have made to public education.

Donate Life California Day: driver's license.

This measure would designate April 18, 2012, as DMV/Donate Life California Day in the State of California, and April 2012 as DMV/Donate Life California Month in the State of California, and would encourage all Californians to be organ, tissue, and blood donors.

Relative to Child Abuse Prevention Month.

This measure would acknowledge the month of April 2012 as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and encourage the people of the State of California to work together to support youth-serving child abuse prevention activities in their communities and schools.
