This measure would urge the state legislature and governor of each state to ratify the Agreement Among the States to Elect the President by National Popular Vote so that the President and Vice President of the United States are directly elected by the popular vote of all eligible citizens of the United States.
This measure would call on California's Representatives in Congress to vote against cuts to, and proposals to privatize, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and would call on the President of the United States to veto any legislation to cut or privatize these programs.
This bill would recognize the month of June 2017 as Portuguese National Heritage Month.
This measure would designate the 4th week of May 2017 as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma Awareness Week, and would encourage all Californians to become more informed about DIPG pediatric brain cancer and the current challenges to the medical research system in designating sufficient research funding for pediatric cancers.
