This measure would proclaim March 17, 2019, to March 24, 2019, as California Down Syndrome Awareness Week and March 21, 2019, as California Down Syndrome Day, and would encourage all Californians to support and participate in related activities.

Relative to Women's Military History Week.

This measure would recognize "Women Warriors" by proclaiming the week of March 18, 2019, to March 22, 2019, inclusive, as Women's Military History Week in California, and encourage Californians to recognize, among other things, the contributions of women and those who identify as women to our military and our freedom, and the historic lifting of the ban on women in combat on January 24, 2013.

Relative to Women and Girls in STEM Week.

This measure would designate April 7, 2019, to April 13, 2019, inclusive, as Women and Girls in STEM Week and would encourage all citizens and community organizations to support the observance of California's Women and Girls in STEM Week by encouraging and celebrating women in the STEM fields.

Relative to California Attractions and Parks Day.

This measure would recognize March 14, 2019, as California Attractions and Parks Day, and would declare that the Legislature intends to take actions to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the California Attractions and Parks Association and celebrate the organization's important role and many contributions to California's tourism industry through its promotion, support, and sponsorship of a wide variety of activities and programs at attractions and parks throughout the state.
