This measure would (1) designate the bicycle pedestrian path on the replacement Gerald Desmond Bridge on State Highway Route 710, in the County of Los Angeles, as the Mark Bixby Memorial Bicycle Pedestrian Path, (2) designate a portion of State Highway Route 129, in the County of Santa Cruz, as the Ohlone Kallentaruk Highway, (3) designate a portion of State Highway Route 5, in the County of San Diego, as the Oceanside Police Officer Daniel S. Bessant Memorial Highway, (4) designate a portion of State Highway Route 101, in the County of Los Angeles, as the Los Angeles Police Officer Ian J. Campbell Memorial Highway, (5) designate a portion of State Highway Route 10, in the City of Alhambra, as the Officer Ryan Stringer Memorial Highway, (6) designate a specified safety roadside rest area on State Highway Route 280, in the County of San Mateo, as the Officer Dale M. "Sonny" Shewmaker Memorial Highway, (22) designate a specified portion of State Highway Route 10, in the County of San Bernardino, as the Sergeant Darrell Keith Lee, Sergeant Gary Wayne Wolfley, and Officer Sergio Carrera, Jr., Memorial Highway, (23) designate a portion of State Highway Route 10 and Date Palm Drive Memorial Overcrossing, in the County of Riverside, as the CHP Officer Mark Thomas Taylor Memorial Overcrossing, (24) designate a portion of State Highway Route 40, in the County of San Bernadino, as the CHP Officer John "Jack" Armatoski Memorial Highway, (25) designate a portion of State Highway Route 1, in the County of Santa Cruz, as the CHP Officer A. Donald Hoover Memorial Highway, and (26) designate a portion of State Highway Route 880, in the County of Alameda, as the CHP Officer William P. Sniffen Memorial Highway. The measure would also request the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs showing these special designations and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering those costs, to erect those signs.

This measure would also request the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs showing this special designation and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering those costs, to erect those signs.
This measure would request that the Department of Transportation erect informational signs on State Highway Route 210 in the County of Los Angeles directing motorists to the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America, consistent with the signing requirements for the state highway system and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources sufficient to cover the cost, to erect those signs.
This measure would recognize June 12, 2012, as the 114th Anniversary of Philippine Independence, and would call upon the people of the state to observe the month of June with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities.
This measure would commemorate and honor the service and sacrifice of the members of the United States Armed Forces who supported the operations in Iraq, and their families, as the official combat mission in Iraq draws to a close. This measure would encourage mayors and communities across the State of California to honor veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan on November 11, 2012, in Veterans Day parades, ceremonies, and other displays of our state's gratitude for their service and sacrifice. This measure would also request that the Department of General Services work with appropriate 3rd parties to advise and oversee the creation of a memorial for the California veterans who fought and served in Iraq and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering the design, construction, and maintenance costs and ensuring that the memorial is in the best interest of the State Capitol Park, erect that memorial, in accordance with California law, in the State Capitol Park. This measure would state the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation authorizing the creation of a larger memorial commemorating and thanking those who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
This measure would proclaim February 29, 2012, as Rare Disease Day in California.
