This measure would recognize the week of February 19, 2023, to February 25, 2023, as Engineers Week.
The California Refinery and Chemical Plant Worker Safety Act of 1990 requires, among other things, every petroleum refinery employer to submit to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health a full schedule of planned turnarounds, meaning a planned, periodic shutdown of a refinery process unit or plant to perform maintenance, overhaul, and repair operations and to inspect, test, and replace process materials and equipment, as provided. This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to ensure that only one oil refinery in the state is undergoing scheduled maintenance at a time.
This measure would proclaim February 16, 2023, as California Almond Day.
This measure would honor the late civil rights pioneer and icon Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
This measure would recognize February 6, 2023, to February 10, 2023, as National School Counseling Week.
This measure would designate the week of January 29, 2023, to February 4, 2023, inclusive, as Physician Anesthesiologist Week.
This measure would declare February 3, 2023, as Wear Red Day in California and would declare February 2023 as American Heart Month in California.
