Relative to California Mental Health No Stigma Week.

This measure would declare May 6, 2013, to May 12, 2013, inclusive, and the first full week of May of every year thereafter, commencing with a Monday, as California Mental Health No Stigma Week.

Social security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

This measure would request the President and the United States Congress to exclude social security, Medicare, and Medicaid from being a part of any legislation to reduce the federal deficit. This measure would express the Legislature's opposition to cuts to social security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and call on California's representatives to the United States Congress to vote against cuts to social security, Medicare, and Medicaid and to consider improving those systems in ways that would strengthen their protections.

Relative to Child Abuse Prevention Month.

This measure would acknowledge the month of April 2013 as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and encourage the people of the State of California to work together to support youth-serving child abuse prevention activities in their communities and schools.

Relative to Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month.

This measure would proclaim the month of March, each year, as Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month and encourage all citizens to participate in prevention programs and activities and to pledge to "Spread the Word ... One Pill Can Kill."
