This measure would proclaim the month of June to be June Dairy Month in California, in honor of the work of dairy producers in California, and would encourage all Californians to continue to support the American dairy industry by including dairy products as part of a healthy diet.
This measure would recognize and designate the 4th Saturday of every July, in perpetuity, as the National Day of the Cowboy and Cowgirl, and would encourage the people of the State of California to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
This measure would declare the week of June 4 to June 10, 2012, inclusive, to be Dropout Recovery Week, and would state the Legislature's intent to encourage the support of dropout recovery high schools with creative teaching strategies, alternative assessments, and adequate resources.
This measure would designate March 2012 as Irish American Heritage Month in California, and call upon the people of the state to observe Irish American Heritage Month with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities.
This measure would proclaim January 13, 2011, as Korean-American Day.
This measure would declare February 6, 2012, as Ronald Reagan Day.
Existing law specifies the circumstances in which an undertaking is required in order for the enforcement of a judgment or order to be stayed on appeal, including if the judgment or order is for money or the payment of money, or for costs awarded pursuant to specified provisions. Existing law requires that the undertaking in these cases be for double the amount of the judgment or order unless given by an admitted surety insurer, in which event the judgment would be 112 times the amount of the judgment or order. This bill would provide that the undertaking be set at the amounts described above unless the court, after notice and hearing, and for good cause shown, determines that a different amount is appropriate. The bill would also make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
This measure would declare the month of May 2012 as Child Safety Awareness Month.
This measure would declare February 19, 2012, as a Day of Remembrance in order to increase public awareness of the events surrounding the internment of Americans of Japanese ancestry during World War II.
This measure would proclaim May 1 through May 7, 2012, as Cinco de Mayo Week, and would urge all Californians to join in celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
