SRES 351: A resolution designating September 2021 as "National Child Awareness Month" to promote awareness of charities that benefit children and youth-serving organizations throughout the United States and recognizing the efforts made by those charities and organizations on behalf of children and youth as critical contributions to the future of the United States.

This resolution designates September 2021 as National Child Awareness Month to (1) promote awareness of youth-serving charities and organizations throughout the United States, (2) recognize the efforts made by those charities and organizations as critical contributions to the future of the United States, and (3) recognize the importance of meeting the needs of at-risk children and youth.

SRES 348: A resolution recognizing the importance of independent living for individuals with disabilities made possible by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and calling for further action to strengthen home and community living for individuals with disabilities.

This resolution addresses issues related to individuals with disabilities. Specifically, the resolution recognizes the importance of independent living for individuals with disabilities made possible by the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and encourages all Americans to celebrate the advancement of inclusion and equality of opportunity made possible by its enactment; pledges to continue to work on a bipartisan basis to identify and address the remaining barriers that undermine the national goals of equality of opportunity, independent living, economic self-sufficiency, and full participation for individuals with disabilities; pledges to work with states to improve access to home- and community-based services for individuals with disabilities; calls on the Department of Labor to provide information, resources, and technical assistance to enable individuals with disabilities to achieve economic self-sufficiency; and calls on the Department of Health and Human Services to provide information, resources, and technical assistance regarding such services that enable individuals with disabilities to live independently.

HR 4965: 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act

9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act This bill increases funding for and otherwise modifies a federal program that provides medical monitoring and treatment to responders and survivors who suffer from health conditions related to the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center. Among the changes, the bill allows certain health care providers other than physicians to determine whether an individual's health condition is related to the attacks, and it establishes a research program to study the impacts of the attacks on health and educational outcomes of individuals who were 21 years of age or younger when the attacks occurred.

HR 4970: Rural Medical Residency Expansion Act of 2021

Rural Medical Residency Expansion Act of 2021 This bill establishes a grant program within the Department of Health and Human Services for hospitals and other health care facilities in rural areas to establish or expand medical residency training programs.

HRES 580: Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 15 mission from July 26, 1971, to August 7, 1971.

This resolution congratulates the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Apollo 15 astronauts and their families, and the American people on the 50th anniversary of the successful Apollo 15 mission. The bill recognizes and celebrates the 50 years of cultural and technological history, legacy, and achievements of NASA's Apollo program. Finally, the resolution reaffirms the commitment of the House of Representatives to pursue space exploration on behalf of the American people in order to increase humankind's understanding of the universe as well as the Earth.

S 2653: Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act of 2021

Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act of 2021 This bill allows tax-exempt charitable or educational organizations to make collegiate housing and infrastructure grants to certain tax-exempt social clubs (e.g., college fraternities and sororities) that apply such grants to their collegiate housing property. A collegiate housing and infrastructure grant is a grant to provide, improve, operate, or maintain collegiate housing property that may involve more than incidental social, recreational, or private purposes. The grant must be for purposes that would be permissible for a dormitory or other residential facility of the college or university with which the collegiate housing property is associated. The grant may not be used to provide physical fitness facilities.
