Authorizes any county or town with a population of at least 40,000 to provide by ordinance that law-enforcement officers, other uniformed employees of the locality, and uniformed personnel under contract with the locality may issue a summons or parking ticket for a violation of the locality's ordinances or regulations regarding the parking, stopping, or standing of vehicles. Current law creates such authority for any city with a population of at least 40,000. This bill is identical to
Requires any family life education curriculum offered by a local school division to incorporate age-appropriate elements of effective and evidence-based programs on the harmful physical and emotional effects of female genital mutilation, associated criminal penalties, and the rights of the victim including any civil action.
Provides that no locality shall adopt any ordinance, procedure, or policy intended to restrict the enforcement of federal immigration laws.
