Prevent Government Shutdowns Act of 2021

Prevent Government Shutdowns Act of 2021 This bill provides continuing appropriations to prevent a government shutdown if any of the appropriations bills for a fiscal year have not been enacted before the fiscal year begins and continuing appropriations are not in effect. The bill also limits official travel, congressional recesses or adjournments, and the consideration of legislation that is unrelated to appropriations after the beginning of a fiscal year if the appropriations process has not been completed.

Filing Relief for Natural Disasters Act

Filing Relief for Natural Disasters Act This bill authorizes the Internal Revenue Service to postpone federal tax filing deadlines upon the written request of a governor of a state in which an emergency or disaster has been declared. The bill also extends current mandatory extensions from 60 to 120 days. For purposes of this bill, a state includes the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

John Stringer Rainey SAFE Act

John Stringer Rainey Save America's Forgotten Equines Act or the John Stringer Rainey SAFE Act This bill prohibits the knowing sale or transport of horses for purposes of human consumption. Specifically, the bill makes it unlawful to knowingly possess, ship, transport, purchase, sell, deliver, or receive a horse for it to be slaughtered for human consumption. It also makes it unlawful to knowingly possess, ship, transport, purchase, sell, deliver, or receive horse flesh, carcass, or part of a carcass for it to be used for human consumption. Violators are subject to criminal penalties.

NFIP Extension Act of 2021

NFIP Extension Act of 2021 This bill reauthorizes the National Flood Insurance Program through September 30, 2022. The bill shall take effect as if it had been enacted on September 30, 2021.

Click to Quit Act This bill requires an online platform (e.g., a social network or search engine) to provide an easy-to-use, understandable, and conspicuous mechanism by which a user may delete or otherwise terminate their account on the platform. The Federal Trade Commission must enforce this requirement and treat any violation of the requirement as an unfair or deceptive act or practice.

DUMP Opioids Act

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to designate periods during which any individual may dispose of controlled substances medications at VA medical facilities with an on-site pharmacy or a physical location dedicated for law enforcement purposes. The bill also authorizes the VA to carry out public information campaigns regarding the designated disposal periods.
