Simplified Joint Consolidation Separation Act This bill establishes a process for separation of joint consolidation loans. Specifically, the bill allows the two borrowers of a joint consolidation loan for their federal student loan debt to jointly request that the Department of Education or loan holder separate their existing joint consolidated loan into two individual consolidation loans. One borrower may request separation of the joint consolidation loan into two individual consolidation loans in the event that the individual has experienced domestic or economic abuse from the other individual borrower or is subject to a decree or agreement requiring the separation of such joint loans and obligations.

This resolution requests the President and directs the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to transmit to the House of Representatives, no later than 14 days after the date of the adoption of this resolution, copies of certain documents and other materials, both classified and unclassified, in the possession of the President or DHS as of the date of adoption of this resolution that refer or relate to certain aspects on border policy, particularly along the southwestern border.

Higher Education Accountability Tax Act This bill increases from 1.4% to 10% the rate of the excise tax on the net investment income of applicable educational institutions (i.e., certain private colleges and universities). It further increases to 20% the rate of such tax on net-price-increase institutions (i.e., educational institutions whose net price increased at a rate exceeding the rate of increase in the Consumer Price Index during a specified three-year period). The bill also modifies the definition of applicable educational institution to lower the per student threshold in that definition from $500,000 to $250,000 (thus making more such institutions subject to the excise tax).

Critical Health Careers Act of 2022 This bill revises the Perkins Innovation and Modernization grant program to prioritize recipients in health and biotechnology careers.

Veteran Recruitment Act This bill requires the Department of State and the U.S. Agency for Global Media to develop and implement plans to ensure that veterans receive priority hiring recruitment.  The bill also requires the State Department to align Foreign Service positions with military ranks and to expand outreach efforts in recruiting veterans for the Foreign Service.

Airspace Clearinghouse Enhancement Act or the ACE Act This bill addresses structures interfering with air commerce or national security near military installations. Specifically, the bill requires the Department of Defense to elicit written testimony from the base commander of each military installation within a certain radius of a structure or sanitary landfill when making a determination of whether the construction, alteration, establishment, or expansion of such a facility will result in an unacceptable risk to U.S. national security; and any person that submits an application for an energy project near a military installation to disclose if they have a relationship with a foreign principal or an agent of a foreign principal.

Young Farmer Success Act This bill makes certain farmers or ranchers eligible for student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Under the PSLF program, the Department of Education must cancel the balance of interest and principal due on a borrower's Federal Direct Loans after the borrower makes 120 monthly loan payments while employed in a public service job. This bill broadens the definition of public service job to include a full-time job engaged in farm work as an employee or manager of a qualified farm or ranch.

This resolution expresses support for U.S. Border Patrol agents, denounces the politicization and falsification of claims against agents in Del Rio, Texas, and calls on the Biden administration to support front line agents.

This bill permanently allows evaluation and management and behavioral health telehealth services to be provided via audio-only technology under Medicare.
