This bill requires the Department of Defense to ensure that it shares best practices with, and offers training to, state and local first responders regarding how to most effectively aid victims who experience trauma-related injuries.

National Computer Forensics Institute Reauthorization Act of 2022 This bill reauthorizes through FY2032 the National Computer Forensics Institute within the U.S. Secret Service. The bill expands the mission of the institute to include educating, training, and equipping law enforcement officers and others on preventing (in addition to investigating) cybersecurity incidents, electronic crimes, and related cybersecurity threats. The bill requires the institute to develop and share information related to investigating cybersecurity incidents, electronic crimes, and related cybersecurity threats. The bill also requires the institute to report annually on its activities.
Stable Families Act of 2022 This bill permits the Department of Housing and Urban Development to award grants to state, local, territorial, and tribal governments to provide financial assistance and housing stabilization services to extremely low-income households.
Enhancing Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Through Campus Planning Act This bill requires the Department of Education to encourage institutions of higher education to develop and implement evidence-based comprehensive campus mental health and suicide prevention plans.
LGBTQ I+ Data Inclusion Act This bill addresses federal data collection of voluntary, self-disclosed information on sexual orientation, gender identity, and variations in sex characteristics. Specifically, the bill requires federal agencies that collect information through a survey for statistical purposes that includes demographic data (where subjects self-report information or a proxy provides information about the subject or responds for all persons in a household) to review existing data sets to determine which data sets do not include information about sexual orientation, gender identity, and variations in sex characteristics. Such agencies must assess needed changes in survey methods related to asking questions on such matters. Agencies that publish reports relying on survey demographic data must include information on sexual orientation, gender identity, and variations in sex characteristics. Agencies may waive this publication requirement on a case-by-case basis if the confidentiality of the information cannot be maintained or if adding such information to the survey would impair the agency's ability to preserve the utility, accuracy, or objectivity of the survey while also generating relevant evidence about the LGBTQI+ community. The Government Accountability Office must report to Congress on the implementation of this bill's requirements by agencies.
This resolution expresses support for the designation of Journeyman Lineworkers Recognition Day. (A journeyman lineworker is a person who builds and maintains electrical power systems.)
U.S.-Albania Cooperation Act This bill requires the Department of Defense and the Department of State to report on the viability of military infrastructure in two port cities in Albania as locations for cooperative security activities, including NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) activities and exercises. The report must also include a description of opportunities and cost estimates for the United States to support training and equipment for Albania's military forces.
Passenger Rail Station Security Report Act This bill directs the Transportation Security Administration to submit a report to Congress on counterterrorism security at the five largest passenger rails stations by annual ridership and a representative sample of eight other-sized passenger rail stations. The report must contain (1) an analysis of the effectiveness of counterterrorism measures implemented in each passenger rail station to include prevention systems; (2) a description of any actions directed as a result of the analysis; (3) recommendations for passenger rail station owners and operators, and state and local transportation entities to improve counterterrorism measures; and (4) proposals for legislative actions and funding needed to improve counterterrorism measures.
This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to report to Congress on Puerto Rico's progress toward rebuilding the electric grid and on the federal government's efforts to expedite such rebuilding. Such report must contain an analysis of the state of Puerto Rico's electric grid, an analysis of the state of Puerto Rico's renewable energy generation and storage capacities, recommendations for power companies and governments to reduce the number of outages and blackouts, proposals for legislative actions and funding needed to improve the process of fund disbursement for critical projects related to electric grids, and a plan for expediting such rebuilding by not later than three months after the report is submitted.
Building Cyber Resilience After SolarWinds Act of 2022 This bill requires evaluations of the impact of the SolarWinds cyber incident and the activities of the Cyber Safety Review Board. Specifically, the bill directs the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency of the Department of Homeland Security to evaluate and report to Congress on the impact of the SolarWinds cyber incident on information systems owned and operated by federal departments and agencies and other critical infrastructure. Additionally, the Government Accountability Office must evaluate the activities of the Cyber Safety Review Board and assess whether the board has the authorities, resources, and expertise necessary to carry out its mission of reviewing and assessing significant cyber incidents.
