Pathways to Health Careers Act This bill provides funding for, reauthorizes through FY2026, and makes a variety of changes to certain grants administered by the Department of Health and Human Services that provide education and training to low-income individuals for health care occupations, including by establishing a new competitive grant for projects designed to train low-income individuals in allied health professions.

Deadly Escalation by Foreign Entities Notification and Disclosure Act or the DEFEND Act This bill requires the Department of Defense to provide specified notice to Congress if it is determined with high confidence that an official of a foreign government has taken or plans to take a substantial step that is intended to cause the death of, or serious bodily injury to, any member of the Armed Forces.
This resolution expresses support for the designation of Journeyman Lineworkers Recognition Day. (A journeyman lineworker is a person who builds and maintains electrical power systems.)
Making Opportunities Reachable for Everyone Act or the MORE Act This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to give preference to grantees with specified partners, such as state and local government agencies and health care employers, when awarding certain grants for providing low-income individuals with education and training for health care occupations.
This resolution mourns the death of Frederick Stephen Humphries, former president of Florida A&M University and Tennessee State University, and requests that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to his family.

Taxpayer Protection and Preparer Proficiency Act of 2021 This bill authorizes the Department of the Treasury to regulate tax return preparers, including by sanctioning preparers for incompetence and disreputable behavior and by establishing minimum competency standards for preparers.
Improving Opportunities for New Americans Act of 2021 This bill requires the Department of Labor to study and report on the factors affecting employment opportunities for immigrants and refugees with professional credentials obtained in other counties, including policy recommendations for assisting those individuals in obtaining skill-appropriate employment in the United States.
Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act of 20 21 This bill prohibits commercial conversion therapy, which is a practice or treatment designed to change a person's sexual orientation or gender identity or otherwise change behaviors, thoughts, or expressions related to gender or sexual attraction. This prohibition does not apply to treatment that assists an individual undergoing a gender transition or facilitates identity exploration and development.
This bill redesignates the Pulse Memorial located at 1912 South Orange Avenue in Orlando, Florida, as the National Pulse Memorial.
