Requires all public schools to screen students for behavioral health concerns by June 30, 2025, and thereafter, all students in the third grade, eighth grade, and students who enroll from a district outside of the state.
Directs the departments of human services and education to work together to sustain and strengthen existing workforce development and compensation programs for educators working in licensed child care and early learning programs statewide.
Prohibits a manufacturer from selling, offering for sale, or distributing into commerce any product containing synthetic polymer micro particles beginning January 1, 2028.
Directs the department of education to develop and adopt regulations for energy capable school buildings.
Makes any term or condition in any agreement that unnecessarily burdens a person's vindication of rights under this section null and void.
Authorizes the submission of proposals for several bonds to the people of the state at the general election to be held in November, 2024. These bonds relate to capital development and the "green economy."
Defines a "consumer accessible fair market value" for a vehicle valuation figure.
Bans the possession, sale, and transfer of assault weapons. Possession of assault weapons owned on the effective date of this act to be "grandfathered". Violations are punishable by a fine or imprisonment.
Expands eligibility for the qualified Medicare beneficiary program by increasing the income limit from 100% to 138% of the federal poverty line.
