Petitions congress to call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the U.S. Constitution to impose restraints on the federal government.
Provides that municipal insurance corporations be subject to laws regulating insurance companies and be regulated by the Rhode Island department of business regulation.
Requires a write-in candidate to file a declaration of intent with the same office at which the declaration of candidacy would be filed, and require similar residency requirements for write-in candidates that exists for declared candidates.
Requires verification of applicant's date of birth and either a Rhode Island driver's license or state identification number with all mail ballot, mail ballot applications and emergency mail ballots.
Allows retired public safety officers to seek secondary employment with the state or any municipality without any reduction or forfeiture of retirement benefits.
Gives authority to the DLT to enforce violations of the laws relating to corrosion prevention and mitigation work requirements. Also adds civil monetary penalties for violations of those laws.
Provides for a residency requirement of at least six (6) months rather than one year for the Rhode Island family court to have jurisdiction over a divorce complaint.
Permits family court to make orders of support and education of a child from ages eighteen (18) to twenty-one (21).
Protects and continues health insurance coverage for the dependent of an employee who wishes to change their health insurance coverage to Medicare or are currently on Medicare.
Prohibits a health insurer from denying a claim for any medical bill based on sole reasoning that the bill may arise from a motor vehicle accident or other third-party claim and prohibits a medical provider from refusing to submit medical for same reason.
