Establishes a digital electronics right to repair, which would allow for digital electronic equipment and parts that are sold in this state on or after January 1, 2025, to be repaired at an independent repair provider.
This resolution creates a 28 member special legislative commission whose purpose is to write an Olmstead Plan for Rhode Island, and reports back to the General Assembly on or before January 3, 2025, and expires on July 1, 2025.
