This resolution amends, increases membership and extends reporting and expiration dates of commission relating to older adults, from May 7, 2024, to November 30, 2025, and expires January 31, 2026.

This resolution would authorize the appropriation of the sum of $1,380,000 to the Rhode Island State Police for the operation of a State Police recruit training academy.
Allows any peace officer working in a Rhode Island school as a full or part-time resource officer to work in excess of the seventy-five (75) working days in a calendar year, and not have an interruption in their benefits.
Requires DCYF to establish segregated savings account for foster care child receiving SS, SSI, veterans benefits or railroad retirement benefits to manage the accounts and keep child eligible for future benefits.
Raises the earned-income tax credit from sixteen percent (16%) to thirty percent (30%) for the tax years 2025 and beyond.
Exempts the trade-in value of trucks weighing fourteen thousand pounds (14,000 lbs.) or less and motorcycles from the sales and use tax.
Creates a sales and use tax holiday for the second Saturday and Sunday in July, annually.
Requires that Medicaid enrollment be maintained or provided to all inmates in the first 30 days of incarceration at the adult correctional institutions within the department of corrections and the last 30 days of incarceration.
Requires insurance coverage for all services provided by a pharmacist provided coverage of such services would have been covered if provided by a physician, advanced practice nurse, or physician assistant.
Creates "Harter's Law" to extend the civil statute of limitations for injuries resulting from first degree child abuse to thirty-five (35) years.
